On October 7, 2011 the United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) released preliminary recommendations against prostate specific antigen (PSA) based screening for prostate cancer.
On November 2, 2011 the Associated Urologists of Orange County (AUOC) sponsored by Intuitive Surgical and Endocare hosted a dinner event to primary care physicians to discuss these PSA screening recommendations and a review of recent technologic advances which have decreased complications purported by the task force.
We at AUOC are the first organization to host such an event and provide this information as a web-cast in California.
